Scientific Educational Supplies welcomes Ann Allen-Kirk as our Clinical Educator for Southern Queensland. Ann comes to us with an extensive experience in Nursing, including Educational and Management roles within the heathcare environment.
Her initial responsibility will be to participate in the Implementation of the VanishPoint safety syringe program as part of Queensland Health’s Sharps Safety Strategy.

Queensland Health Contract to Supply VanishPoint Syringes
In March 2007, Scientific Educational Supplies, a Queensland Based supplier of medical training equipment and safety medical devices, was awarded a contract by Queensland Health, to supply VanishPoint® Retractable Safety Syringes to all 202 Queensland Health’s facilities. The contract is for an initial period of 18 months, with an option to extend for a further two year period. The contract is part of Queensland Health’s Sharps Safety Strategy, and follows a two year trial at Brisbane’s Princess Alexandra Hospital, conducted by Queensland Health’s Infection Control Arm CHRISP.
